Working with the Mississippi Teacher Corps. Been teaching high school and junior high school social studies in Humphreys County Public Schools since August 2007. Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. Parents are from Nigeria. Majors in college went from English and American Literature and Language > Government and African American Studies > Government and African Studies > African Studies. Pertinent interests include de facto segregation in public education, class and education, the achievement gap, Africana curriculum, self-image and esteem in Black/Latino/Asian-American/Native American youth, educational organizing, and youth organizing.
